Twenty-two years is long enough to grow up in. Long enough to go from a kid on a sofa to someone with a kid of their own, still watching, still saying next year, still meaning it.

Some of us weren't born the last time. The rest of us had almost forgotten the feeling. And then it happened. Two decades let go all at once.

This one is for everyone who stayed. Through the almosts, the fourth-place jokes, the years when faith felt foolish. It wasn't foolish. It was love with a long memory.
